Born in Argentina into a family of notaries, he realised as a child that he was never going to do the same kind of work as his parents! Attracted from a very young age to the world of travel and rallies, he returned to Italy (where his family were originally from) to work in the Lancia/Martini team where he learned the working method of a world champion team at that time. After this experience, he went on to create the “Rally Raid” team, taking part in 13 Paris-Dakar and 3 world championships. When his son was born he decided it was time to quit this world, which he defined more as a way of life than a sport, but still remains an advisor. In 2011 he developed the idea of taking non-professional drivers to experience the “Dakar”. He then founded ‘The Gentleman Driver’ and in the first 5 years of the company he embarked on more than 20 expeditions in 6 countries.

Mike has been with TGD for many years and participated in multiple tours acting as lead guide as well as drone pilot and photographer. Originally from Canada, after having lived in Turkey, India and Australia, he now calls Chile home. When not driving he can usually be found flying competitively in paragliding events around the globe.
Niccolo Bruna / Communications Manager
Niccolo is an internationally awarded filmmaker from Italy and a member of the Italian Academy of Motion Picture Arts. He has made feature films, reportage and documentaries in more than 35 countries, reporting on the Syrian migration crisis, the Ebola epidemic in Sierra Leone, the public health issue of asbestos in Brazil and India, women’s condition in Ethiopia and human trafficking in Nigeria. He is a sport and music fanatic. Traveling is in his blood!.
